I don't know what you mean by compatible exactly. Open Office will import Powerpoint slides and export to the format. That is huge! The OpenOffice tool equivalent is Impress. My suggestion is that if you plan to use OpenOffice Impress, stick with it and do all your work there. Derek S. Wilson
