Among other choices, you can use the tab key. It has two stops:
center and right.
If you want the first page to not be numbered and all the rest of
the pages numbered, you should use page styles. Open the Styles and
Formating window by using the F11 key. While the cursor is on the
first page, double click First Page in the list of Page styles
(fourth icon from the left in the Styles and Formating window).
For more detailed instructions and more information on how to use
styles, you need "Working with Styles", chapter 13 of the Getting
Started Manual. It is available at
http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/oooauthors2/. The Writer
Guide list on that web page has a chapter with the same name (chapter
7) which is a more advanced version.
