Because the OO version you are using is for 32 bit architecture, you must get the 32 bit libraries.

If you're using yum you may try:

yum install gnome-vfs2-devel.i386
yum install GConf2-devel.i386

The 32 bit version of the libraries should go to /usr/lib

I do not know how to manage apt-get or other installation procedures.

Cheers,

Hi,

I am not a fan of the reworked bundled distros and so I always come back and download the official version Open Office 2 directly. This time, I'm trying to install on a new Fedora Core 64 bit system, and I get the following error:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] RPMS]# rpm -Uvih *rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
libgnomevfs-2.so.0 is needed by openoffice.org-gnome-integration-2.0.3-7.i586
libgconf-2.so.4 is needed by openoffice.org-gnome-integration-2.0.3-7.i586

These libraries are apparently available only in /usr/lib64 in FC5. What is the workaround?

Thanks,
Rob
