It depends upon where this icon is located. I'm guessing that it
is located on your desktop. Have you looked in the system tray (next
to the clock) for a similar icon? If one exits there also, right
click on it. It should give you several choices of how to open
OpenOffice.org (OOo). (You may have to search for it in this tray if
you have several other icons there also. This icon is for the
quickstarter program for OOo.
If this icon exists in the system tray, you can safely delete
the icon on the desktop as it is only the installation program that
you downloaded.
You can open OOo one of two ways at the beginning. Right click
the quickstarter icon in the system tray and choose the component you
want to open. You can also use Start > All Programs to find the OOo
program.
