I use Open-Office 2. for a few month, and i try to forget MS Office,
cause i like OO more. But i have a big problem with using the software
perfectly, which causes te simultaneus use of MS Office. I work often
with diagrams, and i need the use of trend lines of thre result of a test.
I looked after it but i've haven't found the option, where i can choose
them to use. Could you tell me where is that option?
I have an opinion for upgrading the whole programgroup. I use CAD
softwares for atime, and i like the model building structure of these
programs. I think it could be use in documents, where the document is
a big something, and the forms, print format and web look is just
something as another feature, libnked to it. For example i write a novel.
I just write the text, and in the model tree it will be a feature. Then i
makde a printable version, it contains just the parameters of the
papaer, the fonts parameters, etc. Later i make a web version, and it
will be a new feature, with the web format. The complete file will
contain the text as one part, the printable version, and the web one.
And as i modify the text the modifications will be made at the other
features also, if they has affect on them. And i would like the Calc to
integrate it more into the otherparts. And the Impress could be usea
strongly integrated part of the whole big program. my favourite part is
the Math. And the formula editor. I'd prefer a modification where the
Math and the Calc have strong connections to each other, as i could
name the cells in Calc az "alpha", "beta", "force", and i could give them
metric, az meter, kilogram, degree, etc. And when i edit a formula in
Math i coul make links to these cells, where i insert into the formula
beta then the programs knows that it has a value in a Calc feature, and
uses that value. And can solve it also. I think it could make editing
formulas in Calc easier. And the formulas fomr is fit for documents in
one step.
I know it needs the global remake of the sotfware, but i think in
professioal users, like negineering companies would like to use it.
I guess my vision is not easy to understand and i can explain it not the
perfect form... it is something how the CAD programs build the models
as my personal favourized CATIA V5.
I wait for your answer, and hope may vision has usable parts.
