Go to www.java.com and download JRE. Install this program. Then open OpenOffice.org. Use Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > Java to allow OOo to find the JRE folder. It takes a little time to do this, but then JRE will be listed on the right side of the window. Click OK, and shutdown OOo including the QuickStarter icon in the system tray (next to the clock). When you restart OOo, your wizards should begin working properly. As far as you spell checking is concerned, this is an entirely different issue. May I suggest you send another email to this mailing list: users@openoffice.org to explain what is not working.
