Lela:
For the particular problem you're having, of trying to double space
lines, there's no reason why version 2.0.4 should be any different than
any other version of the 2.x type. So as long as you're on 2.0
something, this shouldn't really matter. It normally is good practice to
update to the most recent version. By the way, if you got to Help >
About, it will tell the version number. In my case, in large type, it
says 2.0, but in smaller type it says 2.0.4.
Now on to your problem. Did you try what I suggested for double spacing
lines? Again, here is what to do:
Click anywhere in the paragraph you want to double space. No need to
select the whole paragraph.
Select Format > Paragraph. (This means click on the Format menu item,
then click on Paragraph from the sub menu.)
There will be a bunch of tabs along the top of the resulting dialog box.
Click on the Indents and Spacing tab.
Down near the bottom, there is an item labeled Line Spacing, with a
drop-down menu. Click the down pointing arrow, and select Double. Then
click OK. That should do it. If it doesn't, please get back to the list
and describe as detailed as possible what you did and what happened.

All I see is 2.o Okay, how about tabs? I read help section, still can't
figure it out. Thanks. Why, is your version different or easier to use?
Thanks

One last question. I need my documents double spaced. How do I do
that? Whatever I try, it keeps reverting to single space. Thank you.
What did you do to double space? I just tried using Format > Paragraph,
then under the Indents and Spacing tab, set the line spacing to Double.
It seems to work OK. Also, what version of OOo are you using? I'm on
2.0.4, the latest version.
