Hello,

I'm having a problem with Open Office and I thought you might be able to help.
I'm running Windows XP on a Sony Vaio laptop, and for a while now I've been
only using Open Office. (With help I deleted the Microsoft Office Suite from my
computer.) A few weeks ago, without any precipitating event that I can think
of, all new Open Office files I saved saved as generic files. To open them I'd
have to specify which program I wanted to use every time - I couldn't click on
the "use this program every time" option. (When I transferred these files to
another machine that uses Open Office and Linux, they worked just fine.) I
decided to try installing the latest version of Open Office, to see if that
might fix the problem. There was an error during installation, and the new
version couldn't install, but my old version is gone, now, too. Today someone
gave me an older version of Open Office (2.0.1) and that wouldn't install
either. The error message I get is Error 1935. An error occured during the
installation of assembly 'cli_types, publicKeyToken = "ce2cb7e279207b9e",
version = "1.1.6.0", culture = "neutral"'. Please refer to Help and Support for
more information. HRESULT: 0x8007...

Any idea where I should go from here? Thank you.

 Sincerely,
 Jennifer Linnaea
