Apple hat ein X11-update ausgeliefert, das anscheinend kaputte "Vera"- Fonts integriert hat. Um die Fonts zu deaktivieren, öffne bitte die Applikation Terminal (unter Programme - Dienstprogramme) und sudo mv /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF/Vera*.ttf /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/ fonts/TTF.bad Die oberen Zeilen machen folgendes: erst wird ein neuer Ordner mit Namen "TTF.bad" angelegt und dann alles Fonts, die "Vera" am Anfang haben dort reinkopiert (und damit deaktiviert). Apple weiss anscheinend davon und versucht ein neues Update herauszugeben. It is reported, that the FontBook application recognize the font as "...Dont use this fonts" http://trinity.neooffice.org/modules.php? name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=3414

The suggested workaround:
Open the terminal application and type:

sudo mkdir -p /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF.bad
