     What you need is to use page styles and well as Headings. I 
recommend you get the "Working with styles" chapter of the Getting 
Started Guide (chapter 13). It is available at 
http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/oooauthors2/. You might 
see other documents that will help you in other areas listed on this 
page.
