Having just installed open office 2.0.4 on my mac os 10.3.9 I
find it impossible to print. The printer (epson 1280) shows up in

PAPER NOT LOADED CORRECTLY" although when I attempt to print
using other apps I have no difficulty.

I can but commiserate.

I have been experiencing the same glitch with OOo 2.0.4 on an Intel
Mac with OS 10.4.8 and an Epson R1800, with A4 paper. OOo Calc
sheets print without problem but OOo Writer files will not.

However, text entered in templates (not of my making) in OOo Writer
gives me files which print successfully. Some I found were pre-set
for A4 and some pre-set for US Letter paper size. When I changed
the latter from US letter to A4, the same old problem "Error, paper
not loaded correctly" re-appeared. Changing my existing stuff in
OOo Writer from A4 to US letter allows them to print on A4. I am
baffled.

Any suggestions? I think this problem dates from when I installed
the faulty X11 v1.1.2, but I am not certain.

In extremis I save odt files as PDF and print from there.

But have you updated X11 to v1.1.3? (It fixes the "Vera" font
problem.) Do you still have the same problem?

Dan

Thanks, Dan.

I had not updated to X11 v1.1.3 but have now done so. The A4/US Letter printing problem remains.
