This may be part of a larger problem. I've noticed recently that there
have been quite a few reported errors with installations on XP media
edition PC's....

Initially you'll have to check to make sure that you've downloaded the
correct file. You need to do a MD5 sum (see www.openoffice.org for
instructions) to make sure there was no issues with the download.

Disable all firewalls and anti virus products (some of these report
false positives and interfere with the installation process) and
install a clean copy.

If problem still occurs, report back to the list...
