To: Whom it may concern
I am a user of your Open Office 2.0 and find it a nice alternative to
Microsofts products. But eventhough I have chosen your Office product, I
have to admmit that I find myself quite in the palm of their hands when it
comes to operating system. Rumour has it that this huge company is
planning new rise in income, that is to say, the launch of Windows Vista
in the nearest future. My question to you: Will you provide an Open
Office for this new operating system?
I'm sure the plan is to support OOo on Vista. It's possible that it
already works - Microsoft can't break *too* many applications, or people
won't be able to run anything. But if it is currently broken, then yes,
the plan is to fix that and support Windows Vista.
But have you considered running Linux? I've been using it as my *only*
operating system for 7 years now. While it wasn't for the faint-hearted
back then, distributions like Ubuntu are changing that very quickly.
