As far as I know, any 2.x version will install over the top of an older
2.y version, making adjustments as necessary, but will live alongside
any 1.x version. So, once you are happy that 2.1 performs as you
require, you may want to remove your 1.1.2 version.
Also, you may not have seen this from another OOo volunteer:
