Strikes me that James Mckenzie is absolutely right about the inadvisability of releasing OOo en_GB until the known bugs in the programme have been eliminated. If OOo does not show itself to be more reliable than the competition, It will have little chance of attracting ordinary users....

Peter: Look at issue 66919. I added a few screen shots to the issue that shows what happens. This not only affects these menus but others. If you were a new user to this product, would you use it if menus were missing items? That is what makes this a showstopper. Maybe I should state, this. I work in Quality Assurance as my prime time job. I will NOT release a product with known bugs. It takes less work to fix a problem than to spend two hours locked up in a room with users SCREAMING at you. Thus, I believe that OpenOffice.org for en_GB should not be out, except the last version, 2.0.2, that did not exhibit this problem, until it is fixed.
