Thanks - navigating to soffice.bin did the trick.  I have subscribed, but I 
didn't think about that when I came across a web page somewhere that said to 
e-mail to the address I used.  Incidentally, do you know if I can insall 
Eclipse on OpenSuse 10.2?  Thanks.
