2007/1/11, Howard Hughes <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
I am using the latest version of OpenOffice.org. My problem is: When I try and install OpenOffice, a message comes up saying, 'NSIS Error The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be a result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus. You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy. It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED).' Can you help??!! Thanks! Ben ---------------------------------
Hello Ben, Another user wrote in answer to similar question: from: Terry <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [users] NSIS Error There is a procedure for checking the integrity of the download: http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.3/md5sums.html You may need to use a different downloader. There is a list on this page: http://download.openoffice.org/ Bittorrent is an excellent downloader. Check out the p2p page: http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/ (this was for an older version of OpenOffice.org: 2.0.3 to be modified to the version you're trying to install) see http://download.openoffice.org/2.1.0/instructions.html http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/using_md5sums.html http://download.openoffice.org/2.1.0/md5sums.html -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.1 RC 2 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.1 RC 1 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
