I've tried downloading Open Office for My 10.4 (Tiger) OS, and when I try to install, it says that I need X11. I specifically chose 10.4 (Tiger) when downloading and so I don't know what is going wrong. Is there an easier way to download? <snip> http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/download/index.html (Then I click on Open Office.org using X11 windowing environment. It says to do this even if I am using just OS X...) <snip>

Marc, just to clarify one thing: your operating system is Tiger, Mac OS X 10.4.x the windowing (not windows) program you need to run OpenOffie.org is called X11 it works as a 'go between' between Apple and OpenOffice.org -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.1 RC 2 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.1 RC 1 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to users@openoffice.org -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
