From what has been said before on this mailing list, OpenOffice should
work fine with MS Windows 98, but maybe it will be a little slow. It
depends on how fast is your computer. At <http://www.openoffice.org/>
you can download the program, procvided you have an ADSL connection
(otherwise it will take hours).
