Ok, I'm not totally stupid...but I just cannot seem to find any clip art with this program. Am I dense or just not looking in the right places?

You're neither dense nor stupid. It's really not there!

OpenOffice.org is already a large download, and adding clipart would only make it larger.

If you don't mind a large download, and would like OpenOffice.org with clipart included, then have a look at the OxygenOffice project at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ooop
OxygenOffice is basically OpenOffice with clipart, templates, fonts and other extras added. The download is around twice as big, though.

Alternatively, you can download your clipart separately. A good source of free clipart is
www.openclipart.org
which is a project started by OpenOffice.org users.

I don't want to correspond with anyone, just want to know if there is...and where can I find...a clip art picture of an open book, preferably one that looks maybe like an open Bible?

Have a look at the pictures at Openclipart on this page:
http://www.openclipart.org/cgi-bin/navigate/education/books

Hope this helps.

Adrian
