I don't think it's just the price (I think that we should all contribute to OpenOffice.org in one way or another). It's mostly that OpenOffice.org is based on Open Source. Users can change the programme to suit their needs without having to worry about copy-rights etc. This what really can kill MS in the market. It's also significant that other companies support Open Source, such as IBM and HP.
