Ron,

There was a free version of Word Perfect that ran under Mac OS 7. You might look for it. I believe it was version 3.5e. I used it and it was good for the time. It slowed down with large documents above about 75
pages or so if I remember correctly.

I have to say that OS 7 under XP has to be one of the most interesting configurations I have ever come across -- you are obviouly a man who enjoys a challenge -- if the systems errors don't get you there is always the BSOD. IF you can find it, star office did run on OS 7 -- that was back before Sun bought it -- and it was free -- in think it is still installed on my Mac Portable (pre bowerbook) -- if I can get the old beastie fired up I and can find a localtalk cable so I can hook it up to a mac with either ethernet or a cd burner, I will send you a copy -- and I think that I found an archive on Washington State Univ. website about 4 years ago -- it might still be there
btw -- how about appleworks?
Thanks

Dear friends, For a certain professional application on my Windows XP computer, I am using BasiliskII emulator which mimics a Motorola 68 K Macintosh with Mac OS, version 7.5. Is there a version of OpenOffice which I can run here, and where can it be downloaded?

Thanks

Yes, I enjoy a challenge, although this one may be a reach. Appleworks didn't come with the emulator, is it freeware? Thanks for the tip about Star Office; a copy or even a pointer to web presence would be appreciated. Best wishes, Ron
