There are difficulties nevertheless. If your PP presentation contains
music, it will probably not be played with OpenOffice. I always noticed
that Powerpoint presentations sent to me could not be viewed normally,
but only by clicking on the successive "slides".

Yes! I use the presentation feature and have had very little trouble opening
older powerpoint presentations I made. Also can save as a powerpoint
presentation I think, never tried it.
