Hi,

You might want to try NeoOffice (www.neooffice.org).
It has built-in support for the new .docx files and will look nicer on your mac. It is built on the same code as OpenOffice.org but runs ever so slightly slower.
It is also free and a new version has just been released.

Hope this helps
Tom

PS there is also a neat little .docx converter you can download for Dashboard <http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/calculate_convert/ docxconverter.html>

Hi

I am trying to open a client's .docx documents (created in Word 2007 for PC) on my Mac with OpenOffice 2.0 and cannot seem to manage to do this. I do not see that format listed in the conversion option dialogue box. Can someone tell me if in fact OpenOffice is capable of this?

btw, I'm a brand new user.

Thank you.
