I think your problem with pages may be related to issue:

How did you enter the date? Did you format column A for dates?
(Right click the A at the top of column A. Select Format cells. Then
Make sure that Date is the Category, and select the date format.
Click OK) What country do you live in? This affects how Calc handles
your entries.
