If, as you say, have downloaded OOo (OpenOffice.org) then you already
have the "full" software package.

The OOo spell check function can accommodate many languages, but
requires a little configuration to ensure it works correctly for your
language(s)/dialect(s).

Normally "File  -> Wizards -> Install new dictionaries.." will get the
dictionary(s) you require.
