Hi, James.
I did the install and had no trouble. Here's my recipe:
downloaded OOo_2.2.0_Solarisx86_install_en-US.tar.gz
gzcat OOo_2.2.0_Solarisx86_install_en-US.tar.gz | tar xf -
pkgadd -d `pwd`/OOF680_m14_native_packed-1_en-US.9134/packages
then answer "all", "y" or whatever seems appropriate
The only difficulty reported was:
Installing OpenOffice.org 2.2 Solaris desktop integration as
<openofficeorg-desktop-integratn>
## Installing part 1 of 1.
767 blocks
Modifying /etc/mailcap
Modifying /etc/mime.types
[ verifying class <build> ]
## Executing postinstall script.
installf: ERROR: unable to open temporary contents file image
(errno 11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
pkgadd: ERROR: postinstall script did not complete successfully
Installation of <openofficeorg-desktop-integratn> partially failed.
What problem did you encounter?
Donald.

I have down loaded OpenOffice version 2.2 for x86 architecture for
Solaris 10. It successfully downloaded and extracted from the tar
archive. However the command to install the the package
pkgadd -a admin -d . openoffice.org* seems to call a installer that
doesn't exist. (the admin file I created in accordance with the
instructions). can any one help me out on this final part of the
installation
