There are people on ebay who are selling OpenOffice on ebay as a digital dowload......which means I give them 5 or 10 bucks and they send me a link. I think that is pretty unethical since they can get it for free from you.

I sent ebay an email stating that there should be a standard rule making ebay sales od open-source software should be prohibited from being a digital download. I see it as someone profiting from all of your hard work without providing a service......

I looked on ebay to buy a CD of Open Office to install on computers in my school and was appalled by the number of digital downloads being sold. I can only imagine how many of those people actually send links to the official website or to a mirror.....

If you guys have an issue with it as well, I would suggest you contact ebay as well.

Hi Shawn,

If OpenOffice.org gets to be more widely known because of this, then a service to the OOo community has been delivered and the customer gets a fine product for $10 instead of for $400 dollars. A win win situation, if you ask me.
