Have you tried to paste using the
Paste Special / unformatted text?

Am running OO v 2.2.0 and JRE 1.6.0 update 1 with Vista home premium, all
updates installed.
When I paste anything from a web page, usually text (using latest version
of Firefox), after about 6 seconds, the document (of any type) is shown as
not responding, OO crashes and closes. Even when I pastes as HTML.
Vista says it's looking for a solution, but never comes up with anything
at all.
Any suggestions?
