In addition to what has already been said, you can flip text
horizontally in Writer if you use Fontwork.
o View | Toolbar > | Fontwork to display the Fontwork toolbar.
o Select Fontwork Gallery in the toolbar and select a style.
o Double-click the text to allow editing: replace the original text
with the desired text.
o Select the Fontwork object and use Format | Flip > | Flip Horizontally.
