Ciao, Ale. (that's the only nearly italian word I know and I probably spelled it wrong). :-D As others have said OpenOffice is a free download and is usable in any setting. Linux is also freely downloadable depending on the distribution. I use Kubuntu (http://www.kubuntu.org) which is VERY easy to use. Linux Mint (http://linuxmint.com) which is a spin of Ubuntu (http://www.ubuntu.com) as well, and can have KDE added to it. This one is focused on multimedia and having all the codecs you need out of the box. I have also used Debian, which is more advanced and the source of Ubuntu and all its derivitives (Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Edubuntu, Linux Mint, etc.) http://www.debian.com Ubuntu uses the Gnome Windowing interface, Kubuntu uses the KDE windowing interface, Xubuntu uses XFCE (sp?), and Linux Mint uses Gnome again. The cool thing about Linux is choice. Try one / all of those.
