You add the fonts to the operating system, not OpenOffice.org
itself. Then OpenOffice.org will be able to access them.

In addition to the above there is an OOo utility called spadmin which exists in your OOo-install/program directory. If you run that it will link to other fonts/printers not found from the routine setup. I think you need to run it from a shell, but not certain of that.
