[users] download problem

I am a new Mac user. I have installed X11. I tried downloading Open  
Office but all I got was the "Writer".  That is to say when I open OO  
from my Applications folder it opens directly to Writer and there is  
nothing else available.  The total download was about 130MB.  Am I  
not knowing something?   Where are the other apps?
