Can everyone stop this please? This point is so ridiculous I can't
believe that people are wasting time arguing over it.
Euros are the world's foremost currency at this time (thanks to the
decline in the U.S. dollar due to spectacular deficits and a crushing
international debt). Everyone should know or be able to easily find out
what their local currency is worth relative to the Euro.
Anytime I buy anything on the web, I pay in whatever currency the vendor
requests. Why should this donation be any different?
Besides, OpenOffice.org goes through PayPal. That limits what you can do
in accepting a donation. And it requires some effort on the part of the
donor so they are clearly committed to making a donation.
So stop suggesting the OpenOffice.org developers should waste their time
on things other than improving the best office suite in the world!
