Hmmm. My experience is that if you upgrade from a 2.x version to a
2.yversion then the new will overwrite the old so IMHO you shouldn't
delete
anything. If you go from a 1.x to a 2.y then they will live side by side and
you can therefore delete all the 1.x stuff. This on Windows XP. Mac and/or
Linux installations may behave differently.
