[users] Recent documents

Under file, recent documents, I have a list of 10.  Two are not valid and I 
would like to delete them.  A right click brings the same message as the left 
click which is that there is no such file.   I have done a lot of hit and miss 
experimenting and obviously messed up at least a couple of times.  I would like 
to tidy up and have only usable "recent documents" in that list.  Can someone 
tell me how to delete them?
