You download to whatever location is convenient for you, such as the desktop, My Documents etc. Just don't forget where you put it. ;-) Then double click on the file to start the installation. It will overwrite any 2.x version, but not 1.x, though I believe it is possible to change the defaults, so that it doesn't overwrite the existing install.
