that may answer the problem.
As I'm doing Java development I obviously have JRE installed, as new as
possible, however, somewhat stable, prior to the installtion of OOo
2.2.1 from the official distribution. While installing, the installer
has searched for an installed JRE, found it, checked it decided that
this is an appropriate one. The installer has not installed a JRE that
could come with OOo 2.2.1, as you suggested, and I did not know about
this option. I will have a look for machine where I'm able to test this.
