There was one early version of Calc, 2.02 maybe, that was published in error without the help files. If that is your problem, updating to a recent release should fix the problem.

Is it saying that a certain OO.o-formatted help file is missing entirely?
Or maybe just in the wrong place?
If it's in the wrong place, any idea where it would be *likely* to be?
Otherwise, where can a get a fresh copy,
and where should I put it?

Works well in 2.2.1 linux.

Perhaps you should update from your 2.0 version.
