thanks for the advice. It didn't work, unfortunately. It's not that there 
isn't an option for a from wizard, or table wizard etc; it's just that when I 
press the button for form wizard or table wizard, no wizard pops up; nor do any 
wizards in other documents such as spreadsheets. it's not a big deal; i can toy 
around a bit, but it would make things easier since this is my first attempt at 
trying to create a data base. anyway, thanks for trying!
