2.3 is the latest release. There are no updates for it yet. Also as English does not seem to be your first language there are several other equivalent users lists for other languages. Go to one of http://fr.openoffice.org http://de.openoffice.org http://it.openoffice.org http://nl.openoffice.org or http://projects.openoffice.org/native-lang.html and choose the language you are most comfortable with.
