Hmmm. Not sure that will handle PS without rasterizing it.

However, I finally got the perl code from CPAN to work, so can rotate
the eps files using that. And a run through ps2epsi provides the
preview bitmap. A bit crude, but workable.

I'm still reeling with the gotchas in OOo though - having finally made
a draft of the booklet, which needs to be done double-sided on my
simplex printer, I now find draw won't print just odd or just even
pages (which writer will). Sheesh!!!

To add even more insult, OOo's export to pdf doesn't bother with the
postscript, it just outputs the epsi preview; so that's no good! I'm
down now to using bullzip to print to pdf (which /does/ work), then
using acrobat to select even/odd pages to print......... And I thought
computers were supposed to make life easy :-(

So I'm just about there..... thanks to all who commented. But I do
think the developers need a good kick: there are far too many "silly"
restrictions and inconsistencies.
