[users] does french dictionary work in the spreadsheet ?

I have downloaded and installed the last version of O.O.O. I have (I 
believed installed the french dictionary too...)
I mostly use the spreadsheet up to now. And if I make a mistake in one 
cell, checking the spelling doesn't work.
What can I do ?
