Hello Kathleen,

Wordperfect is now in the list of text formats that can be
imported/opened in OpenOffice.org (version 2.3). I have only CorelDraw
here, so I don't know how well OOo reads WP files...

You can download OOo for free from the website:
http://download.openoffice.org
choose your operation system, language, etc.
check whether you have a suitable version of Java (better read some
install how-to first...).

Besides the Write component, OOo includes a Math and a Draw program,
while Calc (spreadsheet) now offers improving charts development, etc.
