What OS (Operating System - eg. Linux, Mac, Solaris, Windows, etc.)? Which version of OOo (OpenOffice.org) are you using? How are you trying to start the open file process? OK I will take a guess: You have OOo version 2.something running under some flavor of Windows and you are double clicking on a file name/icon somewhere when this window "comes up". If this is the case you need to fix your Windows file associations by following the instructions given here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307859 If this is not the case, write back to this list with more info.
