And just to include another reply to my own question (about Arial Narrow), there is a font edit software included in one of the repositories of Ubuntu. It's quite some work, but fully possible to edit the Arial font with it, making each character narrower and save it as Arial Narrow... But I guess it's just too much work to changing all the thousands of characters, but maybe the most commonly used, such as a-z, A-Z, åäö, ÅÄÖ, üÜ, 0-9 can be done without too much of an effort.
