I purchased a download of version 2.3 of OpenOffice.org.  It seems to be 
working fine on my new laptop with Windows Vista but I am not used to using it 
yet.  I tried coping the download and also purchasing another download for my 
older computer which has Windows Millinium.  The older computer cannot load the 
version 2.3 OpenOffice.org.  Is this my problem or a software problem?

1) You don't have to purchase OpenOffice. It is a free download from www.openoffice.org. Try that one to see if you still have a problem.

2) It should install on Windows ME, provided your computer meets the minimum requirements, as listed here:
http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/source/sys_reqs_20.html
