Cyrrently OpenOffice cannot read any of the files from MSOffice 2007. It
does a good job with earlier versions of Office files but there has not
been enough time to develop the interface
Actually, it is only the DOCX, XLSX. etc that OO can't handle. Ths
M$Office 2007 programs CAN save in the older DOC, XLS, etc. formats. In
fact, they HAVE TO in order to communicate with older versions of
M$Office, none of those can read the new formats either.
