We sincerely hope you won't need to delete OpenOffice, but if you
do, the task is quite simple: click on /Applications/OpenOffice [or
wherever you put it] and drag it to the trash. There will be some
small configuration files left in your home folder ~/Library/
Application Support/Open Office. You can optionally delete them,
though if you turn the computer back in they will likely delete you
whole user account without sweating small details.
- Are there any prerequisites that have to be downloaded before
I download OpenOffice?
On Leopard you already have everything you need [X11 is installed by
default]. As a suggestion though, you might want to look into the
X11 interface. The version included in Leopard has "issues", and
Apple has not yet released an official update. There are unofficial
updates available from volunteer programmers. The NEW HOME of the
X11 for Leopard is http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/xquartz/wiki/
Releases . The project is getting updated fairly often, it's been
less than 24 hours since the current version came online.
