Are you saying that no one running Microsoft Office can open your files? Or only those running Word 2003? If no one running Word, no matter what version, then I'd suspect you're not using the drop down list to choose the file type or perhaps there's no .DOC file extension. If the latter, you should select automatic file extensions. As an experiment, assuming you're running Windows, try installing the free Microsoft Word viewer http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/CD102258581033.aspx to see if you can open those files with it. Bear in mind, installing the viewer will change your file associations, so that it becomes the default application for Word files. You can reset it back to OpenOffice, by following these instructions. Changing file associations Right click on file icon Select Open With > Choose Program... Check "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" and choose the desired application. If that method is not available, follow the directions listed here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307859 Please respond only to the mail list ([email protected]) and not directly to me. -- Use OpenOffice.org <http://www.openoffice.org> --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
